A cozy farming game that keeps on going

Hay Day is a casual free-to-play farm simulation from Supercell, the creators of Clash of Clans. Players manage a rundown farm inherited from an uncle and work to turn it into a thriving business. Build and manage your own farm in a cheerful world where it never rains and the countryside is full of cute animals to raise.

Hay Day delivers a relaxing yet engaging farming experience designed for long-term play. Whether harvesting wheat, feeding animals, or trading with neighbors, the game taps into the satisfaction of slow and steady growth.

All the fun of the farm

Hay Day starts simply with a few plots of land and grows into a complex network of crops, livestock, and production facilities. Players can plant, harvest, cook, and craft goods that can then be sold through roadside shops, delivery trucks, boats, and the in-game town. As the farm expands, players unlock new areas such as the fishing lake and mining pit, adding more layers of gameplay.

You start with a tiny patch of land to grow some crops and a pen to keep a few chickens. The aim is to gradually build and grow the farm, trading your produce to characters in the game and other players to make money that you can reinvest into your farm. As you make money, you'll be able to develop your buildings, decorate, expand your activities into dairy, and so on.

All in a good day’s work

As you progress on Hay Day, you 'level up', and every time you do, more crops and animals will become available. Basic crops like wheat grow quickly but progressively get increased timers the better the yield. As well as your farm, there is now a town which you can visit when you reach level 34 and repair the train station to reach it. However, the game is grind-heavy and incentivizes spending on microtransactions

Since its release in 2012, developer Supercell has constantly updated and expanded the game. This year’s summer update introduces a Design Festival, celebrating creativity, inviting users to swap design ideas, earn special decorations, and participate in themed decorating challenges. Additionally, the June Farm Pass launched in early June, offering a fresh set of rewards on both free and premium tracks. Farm-themed decorations, boosters, and cosmetic items are included, continuing the game's focus on monthly reward bundles.

A sunny farming escape that keeps growing

Hay Day remains one of the most charming and content-rich farm simulators on mobile. With its steady updates, social features, and satisfying gameplay loop, it’s a perfect casual game for players who enjoy long-term progress and design creativity. While grind-heavy systems and microtransactions may deter some, those with patience will find plenty to enjoy in this vibrant, ever-expanding countryside world.
